About Selah

At Selah Psychiatry, Megan believes that healing begins when people feel truly seen, heard, and understood. She provides warm, intentional, and individualized care, recognizing that each person's story, experiences, and goals are unique. Medication can be a valuable tool, but it is only one part of a comprehensive approach to mental wellness. Megan prescribes thoughtfully and collaboratively, always with your long-term well-being in mind.

The name Selah represents a pause; a moment to reflect, breathe, and gain perspective. In a world that often moves too quickly, Megan strives to create a space where clients can slow down, process life's challenges, and feel supported throughout their mental health journey. Her goal is not simply symptom reduction, but helping individuals better understand themselves, build resilience, and move toward lasting stability and growth.

Megan founded Selah Psychiatry with the intention of creating space for deeper, more meaningful connections than are often possible in traditional healthcare settings. She values taking the time to truly know each person she works with—their experiences, strengths, struggles, and values—so care can be tailored in a way that feels personal and grounded. She believes that the therapeutic relationship itself is a core part of healing and that no one should have to navigate anxiety or mood struggles alone.

Because mental health is shaped by many factors, Megan integrates therapeutic principles into every session whenever possible. She emphasizes being present, reflective listening, and creating space to process emotions alongside medication management when appropriate. She also considers lifestyle factors and evidence-based interventions to support a holistic and individualized treatment plan.

For clients who desire it, Megan is comfortable incorporating a Christian perspective into treatment. Faith-based discussions are always client-led and never required. She respects each individual's beliefs and ensures care aligns with what is most meaningful and supportive for them.

Megan is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Miami University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Northern Kentucky University. Before entering psychiatry, she worked as a hospice nurse, where she developed a deep respect for presence, compassion, and supporting individuals through some of life's most vulnerable moments. These experiences continue to shape her approach to psychiatric care.

Outside of work, Megan enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. She loves painting, baking, exploring new places, and creating meaningful memories with her family.
